Next Stop: St. Vincent, the Grenadines & the Diamond Awards
In just a few weeks, I’ll be heading to St. Vincent and the Grenadines for what is shaping up to be a very special trip.
I’m incredibly honoured to be representing Canada as one of the Top 10 Canadian travel advisors at the 2026 SVG Global Travel Advisors Diamond Awards and Gala. It’s an exciting recognition, but I’m just as excited about the opportunity to experience this destination firsthand!
A chance to explore beyond the brochures
One of my favourite parts of being a travel advisor is getting to experience destinations for myself. There’s only so much you can learn from photos, hotel websites and conversations with suppliers. Being there gives you a completely different perspective.
The itinerary is packed with opportunities to experience the destination firsthand. I’ll be visiting resorts and exploring St. Vincent, spending time on the water in the Grenadines, attending the Diamond Awards Gala and then heading to Bequia for more hotel site visits.
That means I’ll have the chance to see a variety of hotels, explore different parts of the islands and get a better understanding of what makes each destination unique.
And because this will be my first visit to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, I’m especially looking forward to discovering it for myself.
Bringing that firsthand knowledge home
For me, these trips are about more than simply seeing beautiful places.
When I recommend a destination to a client, I want to understand it beyond what you can find online. How does the destination feel? Which hotels are best suited to families or couples?
Those are the details that help me create a much more personalized trip.
I’m hoping to come home with a much deeper understanding of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, along with plenty of new ideas for clients who are looking for something a little different in the Caribbean.
The Diamond Awards Gala
Of course, there will also be a very special evening in the middle of it all: the SVG Global Travel Advisors Diamond Awards Gala.
I’m looking forward to celebrating with other travel advisors and tourism partners from around the world and representing Canada at the event.
Being named one of the Top 10 Canadian advisors is an honour, and I’m excited to celebrate the achievement while also learning more.
